Ahead of the campaign, the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Bola Tinubu, has urged party members not to engage in an exchange of insults with other political parties.

Naija News reports that Tinubu stated this on Saturday during a meeting with the party’s Northern state lawmakers in Abuja.

According to the former Governor of Lagos, the APC is smarter, brilliant and more courageous, hence they do not need to worry about the rival parties.

He said: “We are not just the ones to hurl abuses and insults at our rivals’ party, We don’t need it; we are smarter, we are brilliant, we are courageous.

“We are not like them. Why do we have to worry about them? “But just wait for the calendar, the day of the voting.”

On his part, the vice presidential candidate, Kashim Shettima, urged the North to rally around Tinubu ahead of the 2023 election.

He noted that it was a payback time for Tinubu considering he was instrumental to the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015.

Tinubu Is A Billionaire Without A Business

Meanwhile, the spokesperson of the Atiku presidential campaign organisation, Dino Melaye, has accused  Tinubu of enhancing wealth without a business he can point to.

The former lawmaker representing Kogi West senatorial district stated this in an interview with Tribune on Saturday.

Melaye noted that the former Governor of Lagos State denied the ownership of Alpha Beta, which could have been his means of enhancing wealth.

He further stated that the only business Tinubu is been linked to are The Nation newspaper and TVC.

The former legislator stated this while justifying how the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar enhanced his wealth.

Melaye added that Tinubu in the past thirty to forty years has not added to his educational knowledge.
