Human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore says he and his supporters are determined to “retire” all failed and incompetent politicians like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar come 2023.
“A message to @Atiku. We are set to retire all you tired, fake, incompetent, corrupt failed politicians in 2023!” Sowore wrote on his verified Facebook page on Wednesday.

This comes a few hours after Atiku officially declared his intention to challenge for the ticket to contest the presidential election in 2023 under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.
With the declaration, Atiku will be contesting for Nigeria’s presidency for the sixth time in 2023. His quest to become Nigeria’s President started in 1992 during the botched Third Republic.
His declaration comes just seven days to the two-week deadline given to the PDP zoning committee to make recommendations for the zoning of various elective positions before the elections.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the 2023 Nigerian presidential election will be held on 25 February 2023.
