    Tinubu’s Trip To London Not On Health Grounds – APC Chieftain Explains

    The Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Hon. Yakubu Ajaka has given clarification on reports making the rounds that the party’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, travelled to London over health issues.

    Tinubu is reported to have departed Nigeria for London in September. The former Governor of Lagos State’s absence at the signing of the peace accord by presidential candidates in the coming 2023 elections, raised eyebrows and a barrage of speculations from citizens.

    Aside from the claims that the presidential hopeful had travelled for medical treatments, there were also speculations that Tinubu had withdrawn from the 2023 presidential race.

    Tinubu has since refuted the claims on Twitter after sharing a video clip of himself doing a workout on a fitness bike.

    To further affirm that the presidential candidate is hale and hearty, Ajaka who visited Tinubu in London last week stated in a press release dated Sunday, October 2, that the APC chieftain is doing fine.

    “Contrary to the widespread speculation in the public space which was hugely circulated by our political opponents that Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu was on a medical trip in London. It is totally false,” Ajaka noted in the communique.

    Ajaka reiterated that Tinubu was vacating in London, and was there most importantly to meet with different interest groups for the advancement of the country.

    He added that Tinubu was a man of resounding political and administrative experience, who had a sound and vast understanding of Nigeria’s diversity and would deploy this knowledge into leadership when elected.

    Ajaka said further that among other things, the APC presidential candidate would deploy his stern desire to unify the nation and inclusion of youths to drive the policy of the country.

    The APC chieftain added that among those contesting the nation’s number one political seat in the 2023 general election, Tinubu stood tall with a very humbling track record.
