Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen and his partner have welcomed a new baby.
Naija News understands that an experienced Italian journalist Manuel Gaurdasole shared the news on social media.
The statement reads: “Victor Osimhen has become a father: this is the reason for his absence from training this morning 💙🎀.”
Naija News earlier reported that during a Champions League match against Liverpool, Osimhen sustained a hamstring injury.
He missed three Serie A games as well as the Super Eagles’ international friendly against the Desert Foxes in Oran as a result of that injury.
The Nigerian striker has resumed team training and could play for Napoli in their Serie A match against Cremonese on Sunday.
The 23-year-old who was absent during his club’s thrashing of Ajax 6-1, could be available for the reverse fixture against the Eredivisie club.
