Governor Abubakar Bello of Niger State, on Monday reacted to the death of the All Progressives Congress Chairman in Nasarawa State, Philip Shekwo.
According to Bello, the death of the APC Chairman was allowed by God for a purpose.
Recall that Shekwo was kidnapped on Saturday night at his residence in Lafia, and was found dead on Sunday.
The Niger State Governor in a statement released through his spokesman, Mary Noel-Berje, described the deceased as a peaceful, committed and dedicated party leader.
The governor also prayed that God will grant the family of the deceased the fortitude to bear the loss.
He said, “His death is unfortunate, but God is not unaware. He allowed it for a purpose. May God comfort the immediate family, the APC members and the entire people of the state.”
