Popular Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, also known as Davido on Saturday expressed delight with voters at the ongoing governorship election in Osun State rejecting money.
Davido in a post on his Twitter account revealed that voters are rejecting moves by politicians to buy their votes.
The singer’s uncle, Ademola Adeleke is the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Davido in his reaction to the voters’ action, stated that there is hope for Nigeria.
He wrote, “People rejecting money being offered to the left and right in the State today … GREAT TO SEE … there is still hope for Nigeria”.
Naija News had earlier reported that Davido’s uncle, Adeleke cast his vote in the ongoing governorship election in Osun State.
Adeleke around 9: 05 am cast his vote at Unit 009, Ward 02, Abogunde/Sagba, Ede North in the state.
The PDP governorship candidate arrived at his polling unit in Abogunde/Sagba Ede North at about 8:46 am.
Electoral officials accredited Adeleke at about 8:50 am after which he voted a few minutes after.
