A video has emerged of the moment newly elected Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar paid a visit to Tambuwal to celebrate his win.
Naija News had reported that the Governor of Sokoto State, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, stepped down for Atiku before the commencement of voting last night.
Party sources said Tambuwal withdrew from the race to support Atiku following the intervention of some elders who feared that should Wike pick the ticket, the ruling party would once again secure the presidential seat in 2023.
In the video excited indivuals are seen shaking hands while Atiku and Tambuwal are seated.
Meanwhile, former Kogi Central Senator, Dino Melaye has revealed why he caused a scene at the Presidential Primaries of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on Saturday.
Naija News earlier reported that Melaye hugged and lifted Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State off the ground after the latter withdrew from the primary election held at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
Melaye also shook Tambuwal’s hands for stepping down for Atiku and paying allegiance to the 2019 PDP Presidential candidate. Read more
