    Osinbajo Picks APC Presidential Forms

    The wait is over as Vice-President, Yemi Osinbajo has picked the All Progressive Congress, APC, nomination and expression of interest forms ahead of the party’s primaries.

    A top member of his campaign team, Senator Kabiru Gaya picked up the forms on behalf of the nation’s number two citizen on Thursday, May 5, Naija News reports.

    Twelve years after the death of Umaru Musa Yar’ Adua, Former President Goodluck Jonathan has described him as a good man of a rare breed.

    Jonathan stated this on Thursday in a statement to mark the 12-year remembrance of the former president who died in 2010.

    The former president said Yar’ Adua’s legacy would live on in the country because he was a man of peace and a soldier of truth.

    The governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai has allegedly picked a serving senator, Uba Sani, as his anointed successor.

    According to Daily Trust one of the governorship aspirants in the state made this known on Wednesday, May 4 while also claiming that the governor advised one of his former commissioners who wanted to succeed him to run for Senate instead.

    The Serving Overseer of the Citadel Global Community Church (CGCC), Pastor Tunde Bakare on Thursday purchased the All Progressives Congress nomination and expression of interest forms.

    Former Governor of Ogun State, Ibikunle Amosun, on Thursday formally declared his intention to join the 2023 presidential race.

    Amosun, the Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, declared his presidential bid at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja.

    2023: Protesters Storm APC Secretariat, Warn Against Imposing Jonathan

    The All Progressives Congress has been warned by protesters under the aegis of the Youth Wing of the party over an alleged plan to impose a presidential candidate in the 2023 election.

    The youths stormed the national secretariat of the ruling party to express their grievances over the alleged plan.

    Nigerian economist, Atebo Peterside on Thursday disclosed that the level of acceptance of the former president of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan has gone down ahead of the 2023 general elections.

    According to Peterside, the approval ratings of Jonathan has dropped to 5% compared to the 54% he had during the 2011 presidential election.
