    2023: Atiku’s Whereabouts Have Never Been Hidden – Bwala Shades Tinubu

    The spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Council, Daniel Bwala, has said foreign trips embarked on by his party’s flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar, have never been shrouded in secrecy.

    Bwala stated that the former Vice President has always informed Nigerians of his whereabouts whenever he is out of the country.

    He added that unlike the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, the whereabouts of Atiku is not unknown.

    Bwala, who stated this during an appearance on Arise TV on Friday, said he is not like the spokesperson for the APC campaign council, Festus Keyamo, who could not give details of Tinubu’s whereabouts during an interview on Wednesday.

    Bwala said Keyamo not being able to answer his principal’s whereabouts meant that it’s either there is no confidence in himself as a spokesman or that the APC is keeping secrets.

    Regarding his principal’s possible shuffle between Nigeria and Dubai, Bwala said Atiku has always been straightforward with the Nigerian people.

    Tinubu: APC Strips Senator Abbo Off Membership List

    The Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District in Adamawa State, Ishaku Abbo has been expelled from the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Adamawa.

    Naija News reports that Abbo’ was expelled after some party members on Friday accused him of anti-party activities.

    Recall, Abbo described Bola Tinubu’s decision to pick a Muslim as his running mate as irresponsible.

    According to a press statement issued by the APC spokesperson in Mubi North, Adamu Umaru, accused Abbo of making disparaging remarks on AIT against the APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his running mate, Kashim Shettima.

    He further added that the executive committee of All Progressive Congress (APC) in Mubi North approved the expulsion of Senator Elisha Abbo from All Progressive Congress(APC) from today the 7th day of October, 2022.

    Ekiti: Tribunal Says It Can’t Proceed Because Electoral Material Exceed Polling Unit

    The Election Petition Tribunal hearing the dispute from the June 18 Ekiti governorship election has said it can’t proceed with the hearing because electoral materials brought before it was more than the number of polling units in the state.

    According to the tribunal, during the marking of the document at it’s secretariat, it was discovered that some of the documents were in excess of all the 2,445 polling units in the State.

    The Tribunal Chairman, Justice Wilfred Kpochi, said the Panel wanted to mark each of the documents for each of the polling units for ease of reference but it was discovered that there were more documents for each of the polling units brought to the court.

    He noted that because judgment will be based on polling units, nothing can be done, therefore the tribunal wants to allow them to look at it very well.

    This sparked a heated argument among lawyers to the petitioners and respondents as they disagreed on who was at fault.

    2023: Tinubu Is Coming To Bring Hope To Nigerians – Sanwo-Olu

    Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has said the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, is coming to bring hope to Nigerians.

    The governor maintained that Tinubu will bring about change that will translate to real prosperity in the country, adding that his programmes will touch the lives of those in search of legitimate means of livelihood.

    Naija News reports that Sanwo-Olu stated this on Thursday during an event organised by the Asiwaju Grassroots Talk in Oregun, Lagos.

    According to the governor, Tinubu will tackle the challenges faced by youths, women and other vulnerable people in society if elected as the President in 2023.

    Sanwo-Olu maintained that the APC Presidential candidate has verifiable track records in governance and service delivery which can be used to campaign for votes.

    2023 Presidency: Peter Obi Unveils Official Campaign Website

    The presidential flagbearer of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, and his running mate, Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, have released their official campaign website.

    In a tweet via his verified Twitter handle on Friday morning, Obi appealed to his supporters to visit the website to know more about his campaign organisation.

    The former Anambra state governor also disclosed that the website would be used to gather financial and moral support for his presidential ambition.

    He wrote: “I invite every member of the OBIdient Family and every supporter of our march to a new Nigeria to visit the official campaign website for the Obi-Datti Campaign organisation. You can use that medium to support and donate in cash & kind to the campaign.”

    Tinubu: Youths Begin Jogging From Yenagoa To Lagos

    The All Progressives Congress (APC) youths in South-East and South-South regions on Thursday began jogging from Yenogoa to Lagos to drum support for the party presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

    The youths who are under the South-East/South-South Jogging for Tinubu Campaign Initiative, constituted a team of fitness enthusiasts who plan to embark on a 6-day exercise.

    The jogging was flagged-off at the Bayelsa secretariat of APC by the Bayelsa Chairman of the party, Dr Dennis Otiotio

    Speaking to the youths, Otiotio applauded the youngsters for their decision to march for the APC flag bearer, adding that it was evident that the youths want Tinubu as the next president of the country.

    He noted that sports remained a veritable tool for youth development and mass mobilisation, which brought youths from 11 states of the South-East and South-South geopolitical zones.

    He praised the youths for initiating the jogging from Yenagoa, an indication of the support from the State for Tinubu’s presidency.

    The State APC chairman insisted that Tinubu’s past record as Governor of Lagos state shows that he is capable and qualified to take over the presidency.

    2023 Presidency: Is Atiku Still Contesting? He Should Have Stepped Down – Okonkwo

    Veteran Nollywood star and chieftain of the Labour Party (LP), Kenneth Okonkwo has urged the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar to step down from the 2023 race.

    This is as he questioned the credentials and ability of the former Vice President to successfully lead Nigeria.

    Okonkwo who spoke on Thursday during a television interview appearance with Channels TV said the Labour Party flagbearer, Peter Obi is not only the best candidate for Nigeria, but the only candidate.

    Knocking Atiku, the thespian submitted that the PDP candidate claims to be the unifier but has not been able to resolve the internal crisis threatening to tear his party apart.

    He, therefore, wondered how the presidential hopeful intends to keep Nigeria together if elected.

    PDP Crisis: BoT Might Ask Ayu To Resign – Source

    Following outcomes of the meeting between the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, and selected members of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) Board of Trustees (BoT) in Port Harcourt on Tuesday, fresh details have emerged that the National Chairman of the party, Iyorchia Ayu might be advised to resign.

    According to reports gathered by Naija News, there is a very high tendency that the BoT might advise Ayu to resign because all efforts to resolve the lingering crisis with Wike has proved abortive.

    Our reporter learnt that during the meeting, Wike told the BoT members about how the party’s presidential aspirant Atiku Abubakar had continually failed to fulfil all his promises to the five governors who are bent on Ayu’s removal.

    A former national officer of the party disclosed that Wike narrated all that had transpired between the aggrieved governors and the party’s presidential aspirant to the BoT and how Atiku had disappointed the Southern bloc of the party over and over with many unfulfilled promises.

    The source further said that Wike vowed not to have anything to do with the PDP Campaign Council unless the embattled national chairman resigned from office.
