Liverpool manager, Jurgen Klopp has singled out five Arsenal players before Sunday’s tie with Mikel Arteta’s men.
Naija News reports that The Reds will lock horns with the Gunners on Sunday when they pay a visit to the Emirates Stadium.
The league leaders started off the 2022/2023 season campaign with an impressive performance. Although they are leading by a point ahead of Manchester City, but have lost just once to Manchester United, and won 7 games out of 8.
At a pre-match press conference ahead of Sunday’s clash, Klopp praised former Manchester City striker, Gabriel Jesus, who he believed to be currently playing his actual role under Arteta.
He said: “I always liked Gabriel Jesus as a player. Exceptional player, you always saw that at Man City. His role at City was a 9 or a winger, everyone said last season City had no No.9, but he was still there! Now he plays his role. He’s flying and full of confidence. Top class.”
The Liverpool gaffer also showered praise on Brazilian forward, Gabriel Martinelli, Norwegian midfielder, Martin Odegaard and England international, Bukayo Saka.
Klopp also commended Ghanaian midfielder, Thomas Partey for his contribution to Arsenal’s current form.
“All my respect, wow! Really good job from Mikel. When you need time, nobody wants to give it you. I have to say, a lot of respect. A lot of talent…Martinelli, I was excited about him early, Odegaard, I spoke to him at 15 in Norway with his dad. Saka…oof.
“And Gabriel Jesus, Mikel could see how good he could be not in a Man City shirt.
Thomas Partey, everyone saw how good he was at Atletico Madrid. Lots of quality. A young, exciting team doing really well. Now we go there and we don’t think about [past results].” He said.
