The governors of the southern states have insisted that the next President of Nigeria must be from the South.
This was part of the decisions reached at the meeting of the southern states governors in Lagos on Monday.
A communiqué released after the meeting stated that the forum deliberated on insecurity, constitutional amendment, Petroleum Industry Bill and anti-open grazing law in all member-states.
The forum commended lawmakers for the passage of PIB, but rejected the 3% set for the host communities, Vanguard reports.
Also, the governors unanimously chose Lagos State as their permanent Secretariat.
