Former presidential candidate, Adamu Garba has described the decision of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) flagbearer, Atiku Abubakar to pick Ifeanyi Okowa as his running mate as a strategic miscalculation.
The tech enthusiast took to his micro-blogging site on Thursday to react to the news.
As earlier reported by Naija News, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is set to announce Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State as the running mate of its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
It was gathered that Okowa, who is highly favoured by Atiku to run on his ticket, beat Governor Nyesom Wike.
Atiku has since gone ahead to confirm Okowa as his running mate.
I am delighted to announce Governor @IAOkowa as my Vice Presidential candidate. I look forward to travelling our great country together, engaging with all Nigerians and building a shared future of peace, unity, and prosperity for all. Reacting, Garba submitted that Wike would have been a better running mate for Atiku than Okowa.
He wrote: “PDP made a strategic miscalculation. Wike, not Okowa would have been better, given the current season.”
