A former Minister of Communications, Adebayo Shittu, has reacted to the return of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, to the country.

Naija News reports that the APC flagbearer arrived in the country on Thursday, consequently dispelling all rumours of his ill health and death.

Speaking with The Punch on Thursday, the Director General of the Tinubu-Shettima Coalition for Good Governance said Tinubu’s return has put some opposition members to shame.

The former minister asserted that the wild jubilation that greeted the arrival of the former Governor of Lagos State was enough to make the opponents cover their faces in shame.

Shittu added that Tinubu’s vacation abroad should not have been an issue, adding that the workout video and his return have dispelled all the speculation about his well-being.

He said: “They probably thought he won’t return to the country. I told you earlier he is coming today, didn’t I?

“Let us even assume he went for medical treatment abroad, should that be an issue? His fitness video and the eventual return have put an end to all their speculations.”

You All Shall Be Put To Shame – Fani-Kayode Blasts Those Insinuating Tinubu Is Sick Or Dead

An APC chieftain, Femi Fani-Kayode, has slammed those who have alleged that the party’s presidential candidate is gravely ill or dead.

Speaking via a series of Tweets, the former Aviation Minister insisted that the APC flag bearer is healthy and fit for the presidential battle.

He warned that those who were not wishing Tinubu well would be put to shame.

He wrote: “Those that say BAT is either ill or dead shall be put to shame. Not only is he alive and well but he is also fit and ready to lead us into battle. Those that rejoice in such evil reports shall fall into the pit they dug for Jagaban. To their evil thoughts we say: BACK TO SENDER!

“To all the BATmen and BATwomen out there: fear not the noisesome pestilence, vile words and evil thoughts of the ATIKUvibrators and OBIdients.

“Let them continue to insult us, misrepresent us and vent their spleen because their time is short and that is all they have. Whilst they are insulting, we are preparing.”

Speaking further, he explained that while Tinubu’s enemies were coming up with stories to smear his public image his supporters, on the other hand, were working around the clock to bring home the presidency.
