Presidential aspirant and tech enthusiast, Adamu Garba has officially moved to the Young Progressive Party (YPP) hours after dumping the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a tweet via his Twitter handle on Thursday afternoon, Garba announced his defection to the YPP, asking his supporters to join him in the opposition party.

The presidential aspirant, however, enjoined his supporters to join him to deliver a new deal for the country.

Garba stated that the YPP is a perfect substitute for the Old (All) Progressives Congress, adding that the party is for the progressive young minds.

He wrote: “Gentle Ladies and Men, this is the future. Join me in YPP, let’s deliver a NEW DEAL for Nigeria.

“YPP means Young Progressives Party, a perfect substitute for Old (All) Progressives Congress. The party is for the progressive young minds, like all of you.

Naija News reports that the presidential hopeful withdrew his APC membership in a letter he personally signed and addressed to the party on Wednesday.

Garba stated that his withdrawal from APC was because the party has drifted from its ‘original calling’, adding that the party has lost its moral standard democratic tenets.

The politician pointed out that it was clear to him that APC has chosen money over competency by pegging its presidential forms at N100million Naira.

Garba thereafter pulled down the ruling party’s flag in his office to show his withdrawal of membership from the party.

The presidential aspirant in a thread of tweets on Thursday morning apologized to Nigerian youths for his previous actions that might have hurt them.

Garba assured the public that he is now a fully reformed, baptized person, adding that he has realized some of his mistakes and is ready to move along with the youths to chart a new course for the future of Nigeria.
