    2023: PDP Picks Date, Venue To Inaugurate Presidential Campaign Council

    The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has announced the time and venue for the inauguration of its presidential campaign council for the 2023 elections.

    According to a statement released on Tuesday by the party, the inauguration would take place on Wednesday, 28th September at the International Conference Center in Abuja.

    The PDP added that those expected at the event include all former Presidents and Vice Presidents, Governors and Former Governors, Serving and former Members of the BoT, Serving and former members of the National Assembly, NEC members and other stakeholders.

    The statement reads: “The NWC of our Great Party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) wishes to invite all our former Presidents and Vice Presidents, Governors and Former Governors, Serving and former Members of the BoT, Serving and former members of the National Assembly, all members of NEC, stakeholders of our party, the International Communities, CSOs and the Media to the inauguration of the Presidential Campaign Council as follows-

    Date: Wed Sept 28, 2022.

    Venue: International Conference Center, Abuja, FCT.

    Time: 11:00 am

    APC Postpones Inauguration

    Information obtained by Naija News on Tuesday morning confirmed that the presidential campaign kick-off of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has been suspended indefinitely.

    The ruling party’s Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) had earlier scheduled the kick-off of the event for Wednesday, September 28, 2022.

    A statement, however, issued on Tuesday morning by the Director-General (DG) of the Bola Tinubu/Kashim Shettima PCC, Governor Simon Lalong, revealed that the party is making some adjustments to its timetable to accommodate the growing interests of party loyalists.

    A new date for the kick-off of the campaign would be communicated soon according to the Plateau State Governor.
