Former Senate Majority Leader, Victor Ndoma-Egba has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) flagbearer, Bola Tinubu would win the 2023 presidential elections amidst the outrage against the Muslim-Muslim ticket.
Naija News reports that since the former Governor of Lagos State unveiled Kashim Shettima as his running mate, many Nigerians have expressed their reservations.
However, Victor Ndoma-Egba while speaking with Journalists on Friday, described the situation as a very emotive issue.
According to the ex-lawmaker, not everyone is happy about the decision of APC, nevertheless, Tinubu would win the election.
He said: “I wish the APC had options open to it. As it is now the Christian community should present its charter of demand to the party.
“Not everyone is happy (about the Muslim-Muslim ticket) but APC will win nevertheless”
Ndoma-Egba stressed that Tinubu has what it takes to govern Nigeria and move the country to the next level considering his pedigree and record.
Speaking on the state election, he stated that the geopolitics of Cross River favours the APC candidate, Bassey Otu.
Ndoma-Egba added the notion that the people only support the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) would come under the first severe test in 2023.
He said: “For once it is not and the PDP in the State is not used to being out of power. It will be a fish out of water.”
