All is set for the emergence of former Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso to be declared as the 2023 presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).

This was disclosed by the NNPP pioneer National Chairman and founder, Dr. Boniface Aniebonam during a press conference on Friday.

According to him, the party’s party’s Special National Convention scheduled for June 8 in Abuja will be used to affirm the candidacy of Kwankwaso as he is the only presidential aspirant on the NNPP’s platform which means he would be returned unopposed.

Aniebonam while praising the qualities of Kwankwaso described the former Defence Minister as a man of God who can solve many of Nigeria’s problems.

“He (Kwankwaso) is to be returned unopposed. Kwankwaso is a man of God,” the NNPP founder stated.

He added that Nigeria needs a strong leader like Kwankwaso who has character and will tackle the challenges of insecurity, poor economy and others bedevilling the country.

Aniebonam urged Nigerians to vote for a candidate who is a messenger of God and capable of uniting the country.

“Now is the time for God’s intervention in Nigeria. What Nigeria need now is a strong leader like Kwankwaso. He is a man with character and patriotism; with capacity for human development. When we get a strong leader, all agitations will die a natural death. If Kwankwaso emerges the President, some of these problems will be resolved,” he said.

“Let Nigeria start again from the beginning. Kwankwaso is coming in to bring everybody together to end all these challenges. He is going to bring Nigerians together and he is going to reunite this country. Therefore, a mandate for Kwankwaso is to reverse the trend and to make Nigeria a productive nation. The messenger of God has come. God’s hand is in NNPP. Let the people take their destiny in their hand in 2023,” he added.
