The President of the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) Worldwide, Pastor Samuel Oladele, has called on Christians to vote only in the interest of God in the forthcoming elections.

The cleric said citizens must not allow personal interest to occupy their minds as they ponder on which candidate to vote for, rather they should support a candidate who God is interested in for the progress of the nation.

Naija News reports that Oladele gave the admonition while addressing believers at the 2022 Pastors Conference of the CAC held at Ayo Babalola Memorial International Miracle Camp, Ikeji-Arakeji, Osun State on Wednesday.

The cleric who lamented the growing insecurity in the country said there is hope for Nigeria. Oladele again charged the citizens to vote for candidates that will protect their interests in the 2023 general elections.

He said: “The forthcoming general election is the one that we must be interested in, as we cannot afford to remain complacent while decisions that affect our faith are being made.

“We shall be guided by the criteria provided by the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for the election of our next set of political leaders in Nigeria.

“I make bold to declare loud and clear that the interest of the kingdom of God and of His Christ is more important than all other interests,” he reiterated.

The CAC president urged Nigerians not to despair but to be more prayerful and to walk on the path of righteousness. He assured that there is hope for the nation, adding that “God rules the affairs of men.”

Pastor Kumuyi Tackles Church Ushers Insisting Ladies Must Cover Their Heads

The General Superintendent of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor Williams Kumuyi on Sunday condemned ushers who insist ladies must cover their heads before entering the church.

Naija News reports that Kumuyi while speaking during a recent sermon, in Ekiti State, described the act as an embarrassment and urged ushers to desist from it.

Kumuyi noted that persistent covering of hair will emit odour and women who practice such, put themselves in bondage.

According to the clergyman, many wives are unattractive to their husbands because of their shabby style of dressing.

He said: “Somebody is coming to our church for the first time. And she happens to be a lady not covering her head. We ask the person to cover her head before coming in. We don’t know whether the person does not even know God. We confront her out there before she even enters the church. We don’t know if she does not know how to pray or prophesy. But we impose rules on her.

“If I were the person, I would wonder what kind of church is this? If they treat me like a primary school girl, that will be my last time coming to the church.

“If I don’t tell you maybe nobody will tell you. There are some wives who dress shabbily and are no longer attractive to the man. There are some single sisters that are not presentable. Anybody who is looking for the will of God may not be attracted to them. The Bible says every woman that prayeth or prophesies. The reason why you are covering is either you are praying or prophesying.”
