The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has denied postponing its primary election timetable for the 2023 general elections.

Naija News learned that a report emerged on Monday that the APC had changed its timetable/schedule of activities for the 2023 elections in order to accommodate some adjustments.

Reacting to the development in a statement on Monday, APC spokesman, Felix Morka said the party has not changed its timetable as circulated on social media.

The APC spokesman said the report that the party has adjusted its timetable is fake and mischievous, asking all members and supporters to ignore the said report.

He stated that should an adjustment become necessary, such changes will be communicated through the party’s official communication channels.

The statement reads: “Our attention has been drawn to a story of purported adjustment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Timetable/ Schedule of Activities for the 2023 General Elections which is making the rounds on social media.

“The story should be disregarded as fake news. The Party’s Timetable/Schedule of Activities for the 2023 elections remains as earlier published:

    *Governorship – Friday, 20th of May, 2022.

*State House of Assembly – Sunday, 22nd of May, 2022.

*House of Representatives – Tuesday, 24th of May, 2022.

    *Senate – Wednesday, 25th of May 2022.

*Presidential – Monday, 30th of May to June 1st, 2022.

“Should an adjustment become necessary, such changes will be communicated via our official communication channels.”

Meanwhile, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has described Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as the biggest problem of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Naija News reports that since Kwankwaso joined the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP)  from the PDP,  the party has gained popularity.

Speaking to Channels Television on Monday night, Orji Uzor Kalu stated that the two major political parties must be aware of the threat posed by the NNPP.

He stated that if any of the major parties zone its presidential ticket to the South, they should forget about producing Muhammadu Buhari’s successor.
